Mental Health Specialist II - Acute Behavioral Services

📋 Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intensive behavioral and mental‑health needs in group
• Support individuals per behavior and treatment plans, crisis prevention, de‑escalation, and manual
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment and assist with daily living activities and community
• Document services, observations, and health concerns using electronic systems.
• Monitor behavior changes and communicate with supervisors during crises or safety events.
• Support family contacts, appointments, medication tasks, and adherence to medical plans.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years minimum experience with chronic/severe mental illness OR degree in a mental‑health field
• Must be 18+ (some programs require 21+)
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation
