Mental Health Specialist II - Acute Behavioral Services

📋 Description

• Provide direct support to individuals with intensive behavioral and mental-health needs.
• Support individuals per behavior plans, treatment plans, crisis-prevention, de-escalation.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment; assist with daily living skills and community engagement.
• Document services and observations using electronic systems (T-logs, Therap, health tracking).
• Monitor behavior changes and communicate with supervisors during crises.
• Participate in team meetings and training new staff; model professional behavior.

🎯 Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 3 years experience with severe mental illness or related degree
• Must be 18+ (21+ in some programs)
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
• Basic computer skills and electronic documentation
• Lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk long periods
