ML Research Engineer / Scientist

📋 Description

• Design, develop, train, and evaluate machine learning models for interpreting complete CT studies
• Research foundation-model approaches for medical imaging, incl. 3D and volumetric learning at large
• Develop vision-language models linking medical images with radiology terminology and reporting
• Prioritize multiple urgent clinical findings with safe operating points
• Design and execute end-to-end experiments from hypothesis to deployment
• Develop custom architectures, training pipelines, losses, and distributed training approaches

🎯 Requirements

• Strong practical experience with modern ML/DL, esp. PyTorch for custom architectures and
• Deep understanding of why architectures and training strategies work, not just implementations
• Ability to formulate hypotheses, design experiments, interpret results, iterate toward better models
• Rigorous experimentation, evaluation, reproducibility, and model validation
• Experience with large-scale datasets and distributed training
• Interest in solving technically challenging problems with real-world impact
