Mobile Core Network Engineer

📋 Description

• Deliver core network services across global datacenters with high availability.
• Design redundancy patterns (failover, active-active, DR) and regional localisation.
• Manage the GTP proxy fleet and DRA infra: routing, IMSI translation, realm, peers.
• Monitor traffic growth, forecast demand, and scale infrastructure proactively.
• Build and maintain Ansible playbooks and CI/CD pipelines for changes.
• Operate and evolve the signalling plane: Diameter, GTP-C/U, SS7 MAP across roam interconnects.
• Design network connectivity: GRX/IPX peering, tunnels, SCTP multihoming, firewalls.
• Build dashboards and alerting to catch issues before incidents.
• Participate in on-call rotation for wireless infrastructure incidents.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong 3GPP EPC knowledge: PGW/SGW/HSS, DRA, PCRF, STP, S6a/S1-MME
• Experience operating mobile core elements in production
• Strong networking: IP routing, BGP/OSPF, VLANs, GRE/IPsec, SCTP, tcpdump
• Strong Linux skills: systemd, networking, performance tuning, scripting
• Hands-on infra automation: Ansible, Terraform, or equivalents
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience monitoring stacks: Prometheus, Grafana, Alertmanager
• AWS or similar cloud infrastructure
