Combined with strong strategic vision, market therapeutic area awareness, as well as clinical expertise, the MSL/Senior MSL serve as a conduit of information, education, and research activities for physicians and ancillary healthcare professionals regarding current and future therapies in development or commercialized by AbbVie.
The MSL/Senior MSL works closely with other AbbVie personnel to ensure information, education, and research needs of healthcare professionals are met and to ensure scientific and technical training needs of commercial organizations are identified and met.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, develop, and maintain professional relationships with thought leaders, academic centers
- Present scientific information and education relative to disease state, therapeutic landscape, and
- Support research initiatives as requested by AbbVie R&D, Clinical Operations, and Medical
- Prepares marketplace in new therapeutic areas of interest, which includes creating awareness and
- Creates, maintains, and collaborates in relationships with internal cross-functional partnerships
- Serve as a medical/scientific resource to healthcare providers through answering unsolicited
🎯 Requirements
- Advanced degree required (i.e., Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, APP in a relevant scientific discipline.
- Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience for a Senior MSL
- Typically requires a minimum of 0-2 years of relevant experience for an MSL
- Preferable experience in Endocrinology, Metabolic, obesity, or Gastroenterology.
- Must be able to identify, analyze, and translate specific territory and corporate needs to support
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, Power Point, and other software skills; Excellent written/verbal
