Object Detection and Tracking Engineer (R5244)

📋 Description

• Develop real-time object detection, sensor fusion, and state estimation for autonomous aircraft.
• Design perception algorithms across EO/IR cameras, radars, and IMUs.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams for system integration.
• Validate algorithms in simulation and field tests to ensure mission readiness.
• Travel ~10-15% to office locations, customer sites, and flight events.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS in CS/EE/ME/Aerospace or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years with a Bachelor’s, 9 with a Master’s, or 7 with a PhD, or equivalent.
• Experience with Kalman Filters, multi-target tracking, or deep learning-based detection.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion from radar, EO/IR, and other sensors.
• Experience with SLAM or visual-inertial odometry in real-time apps.
• Ability to interpret ICDs and hardware specs; proficient in version control and debugging.
