Design, build, and operate optical metrology and test systems
Automate test procedures and data collection for high-volume products
Train technicians on operation of optical test equipment
Inform optical flight hardware designs to enable efficient test ops
Apply optics and photonics knowledge to laser comm system trades and component development
Participate in validation testing and reliability assessments

🎯 Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in physics or engineering
2+ years hands-on optics/photonic lab experience (university projects or internships qualify)
Master’s or PhD preferred
Hands-on with optical test equipment (power meters, interferometers, lasers)
CAD proficiency; programming in Python and C/C++; version control
Proficiency with optical analysis tools such as Zemax
