Platform Software Engineer, Ingestion

📋 Description

• Own ingestion systems, query systems, and API/SDK/CLI surfaces used by thousands of teams.
• Design and operate high-throughput, data-intensive ingestion and trace-query systems (SmithDB).
• Build monitoring, alerting, and automated recovery to keep pipelines resilient.
• Collaborate on API/SDK/CLI standards across Python, TypeScript, Go, and Java.
• Address distributed-system challenges and incidents with on-call rotation.

🎯 Requirements

• Platform engineering: experience designing and running data-intensive systems at scale
• Developer experience: building high-quality CLIs, SDKs, or API standards
• Database expertise: OSS datastores such as PostgreSQL and Redis
• Backend languages: Go, Python, or TypeScript
• Infrastructure: cloud storage, Kubernetes, containerized infra, GCP/AWS
• Observability: Datadog, Prometheus/Grafana, OpenTelemetry
