Power Studies Engineer (PSCAD)

📋 Description

• Perform advanced power system studies: load flow, short circuit, protection, arc flash, grounding
• Develop/maintain electrical models using PSCAD, ETAP, SKM, EasyPower or similar tools.
• Conduct EMT studies for switching, faults, disturbances, load variations.
• Analyze impact of AI-driven high-density loads on utility, UPS, and facility networks.
• Support interconnection studies and coordinate with utilities.
• Evaluate redundancy, reliability, and resiliency.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering.
• 8–15 years in power systems engineering or related fields.
• Experience with PSCAD; knowledge of ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, DIgSILENT, CYME.
• Strong understanding of power systems, substations, relaying, and reliability concepts.
• Experience with utility interconnections and MV systems; Neher-McGrath asset.
• PE license in Canada or eligible; knowledge of CEC/CSA/IEEE; familiarity with NEC/NFPA/IEEE (asset).
