Power System Engineer III

📋 Description

• Lead generation interconnection studies within WECC footprint
• Evaluate grid capacity and impacts for interconnection strategies
• Support interconnection projects via modeling, due diligence, analysis
• Develop and validate PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD models for renewables
• Conduct specialized studies as needed (sub-synchronous resonance, protection, arc flash, transient
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to communicate findings

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience as a Power Systems Engineer or closely related role
• Experience with generation interconnection or power system studies preferred
• Practical experience developing/validating models using PSS/E, PSLF, PSCAD
• Knowledge of solar PV, battery energy storage, wind generation
• Understanding of grid capacity, interconnection processes, modeling principles
• Willingness to travel up to 10%
