Principal Data Engineer

📋 Description

• Design and implement software solutions that turn energy IoT devices into resources for a cleaner
• Ingest and manage data from utility systems (AMI, MDM, GIS, EMS/SCADA, etc.).
• Operate largely independently to design, plan, and assign work across teams.
• Influence cross-team roadmaps, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
• Develop new connections to energy markets and grid-balancing systems.
• Build APIs and tools for hardware manufacturers and enterprise software integrations.

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Python and SQL (any flavor) experience required.
• Experience building data pipelines and ELT/ETL systems.
• Comfortable leading system design and architecture.
• Experience with data warehouses and modeling (Snowflake).
