Principal Software Engineer - Performance Tuning - Elasticsearch

📋 Description

• Lead architectural and code-level performance initiatives for Elasticsearch.
• Own core performance optimizations from design to production.
• Develop performance models for distributed systems.
• Drive optimization to keep Elasticsearch performant, predictable, and scalable.
• Profile and analyze system behavior to identify bottlenecks in logging, metrics, vector search, and
• Ensure robust benchmarks and regression detection for stateful and Serverless architectures.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep knowledge of Java internals and JVM memory management; capable of high-performance
• Proven experience profiling and optimizing distributed systems; benchmarking tools (flamegraphs
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture and scaling challenges in large-scale data
• Experience using AI or advanced tooling to accelerate optimization and automate benchmarking.
