PRN DRG Revenue Integrity Auditor

📋 Description

• Perform DRG validation and quality audits of inpatient medical records to assess coding accuracy
• Review ICD-10-CM/PCS code assignment and sequencing, POA indicators, SOI/ROM, HCC capture, and
• Confirm coded data reflects patient’s documented condition and complies with regulations and
• Analyze medical records to identify clinical documentation and physician query opportunities
• Conduct audits of CDI programs when assigned.
• Apply coding guidelines, CDI best practices, CMS guidance, NCDs/LCDs, payer policies, and clinical

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in acute care or with a third-party vendor as a DRG Auditor or CDS.
• Prior experience as CDI or coding auditor preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of inpatient DRG validation, ICD-10-CM/PCS coding, clinical documentation
• Familiarity with POA indicators, SOI/ROM, HCC, sequencing, and query opportunities.
• Experience with EMR systems and ability to operate effectively in a remote environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret coding guidance, clinical criteria, and payer
