📋 Description

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Marketing on launches and disclosures.
• Advise on payments architecture and card network compliance.
• Serve as first-line legal resource for ongoing programs.
• Own coverage areas from day one; report to Associate General Counsel.
• Work in a fast-paced startup while meeting regulatory obligations.
• Translate complex legal requirements into actionable guidance for teams.

🎯 Requirements

• J.D. from an accredited law school; active status with at least one US state bar.
• 4–6 years of legal experience in financial services; credit card/fintech preferred.
• Familiarity with federal consumer finance regs (TILA/Reg Z, ECOA/Reg B, EFTA/Reg E, FCRA, UDAAP, CAN-SPAM, TCPA) and applying to product/marketing.
• Experience drafting consumer-facing agreements, disclosures, and marketing materials.
• Autonomous, able to own end-to-end work and manage priorities/timelines.
• Strong communicator; can explain risk to engineers and regulatory nuance to marketing.
