• Leading Embedded, one of Canva's Production Engineering teams, with a senior-heavy group of
• Influence across multiple teams to tackle production reliability, data safety, and platform
• Set direction, coaching, and develop senior engineers to grow technical and organizational impact.
• Contribute to defining how Embedded engagements are run and measured for impact.
• Foster psychological safety and close collaboration with other teams to drive outcomes.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven track record leading senior engineers and technical leads.
• Experience in production environments focused on reliability, scalability, and risk reduction.
• Ability to earn trust and influence without formal authority; strong cross-org delivery.
• Strong CS fundamentals; depth in Go, Python, Java, or C++; systems knowledge of AWS or GCP.
• Experience with observability, capacity planning, and production-ready design patterns.
• Ability to communicate complex trade-offs to senior stakeholders and coach engineers.
