Representative Director – Japan

📋 Description

• Build and lead the Japan office (hiring, culture, cadence, vendors)
• Design Japan-specific investment strategy and governance
• Create a systematic sourcing engine (banks, M&A boutiques, events)
• Portfolio support: board participation, KPI governance, follow-ons
• Manage stakeholders: HQ committee, LPs, regulators, partners
• Represent the firm in Japan: brand and relationships

🎯 Requirements

• Japanese business fluency; negotiate, hire, and build relationships
• Strong English for HQ reporting and cross-border work
• 10–15+ years in asset management / investment banking / corporate development with Japan exposure
• ≥5 years in senior leadership with P&L, targets, and team management
• Deep IT/Technology sector understanding
• Proven ability to originate deals and lead end-to-end execution (screening to closing)
