RN School Nurse

📋 Description

• Provide first aid and medically prescribed services.
• Obtain and review consents for medication administration.
• Document each medication administration instance.
• Train staff on medication administration and documentation.
• Maintain security of health supplies; educate students on health topics.
• Coordinate with parents, providers, and staff per IEP needs.

🎯 Requirements

• Current/Active IL Registered Nurse License
• Knowledge of medical/mental health disorders and treatments
• Knowledge of child growth, development
• Public health procedures and coordination with health agencies
• Knowledge of laws/regulations affecting school health services
• Ability to coordinate services with school, health agencies, and community resources
