Roaming Engineer

📋 Description

• Execute IREG testing for roaming partners (2G/3G/4G/5G) per GSMA IR.21
• Lead end-to-end partner onboarding: test planning, execution, sign-off
• Maintain IR.21 documentation for Telnyx network
• Validate roaming signaling during testing and post-launch (Diameter, S6a, MAP, GTP-C)
• Manage TAP and NRTRDE file reconciliation with roaming partners
• Coordinate with Platform and Software Engineering on network changes

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in roaming ops, IREG testing, or similar at an MNO/MVNO
• Strong GSMA knowledge: IR.21/IR.34/IR.65, IREG specs, AA.14/AA.19
• Hands-on roaming signaling: Diameter (S6a/S6d/S13), MAP, CAP, GTP-C/GTP-U
• TAP (R13+) and NRTRDE file processing/reconciliation
• Familiar with roaming tools and signaling analysis (Wireshark, pcap)
• Understanding LTE/5G roaming architecture (S8, N32, SEPP)
• Ability to work independently across multiple onboarding streams
• Strong written and verbal communication for cross-functional/partner coordination
