Robotics Controls Engineer

📋 Description

• Own testing and validation infrastructure for the controls stack
• Develop observability, failure analysis, and runbooks for reproducible evaluation
• Lead first-time hardware bring-up and end-to-end validation on real robots
• Collaborate across control stack from hardware to software tooling
• Improve diagnostic tooling, logging, and performance metrics
• Document validation processes and ensure repeatable results

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on robotics experience with real hardware
• Strong control theory foundation (joint-space control, PID, observability, state estimation)
• Shipped software across stack: modern C++ in RT control codebase, Python for tests
• Experience with test automation, HIL/integration tests, and data analysis
• Ability to diagnose cross-stack failures (software/firmware/hardware)
• Nice-to-have: physics simulators and observability tooling
