📋 Description

• First-line legal advisor on safety and security for Claude and Anthropic.
• Design and enforce usage policies, safeguards R&D, and response frameworks.
• Advise on incident response, regulatory engagement, and crisis management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (policy, security, ML, data science).
• Develop playbooks, escalation protocols, and self-serve guidance.
• Translate regulatory developments into practical product guidance.

🎯 Requirements

• JD and active U.S. state bar membership.
• Experience with fast-moving, high-stakes investigations or regulatory matters.
• Working knowledge of trust & safety, cybersecurity, privacy, or platform regulation.
• Technical fluency to understand systems, data flows, and AI model behavior.
• Strong legal writing, policy drafting, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to translate legal analysis into actionable steps for technical/executive audiences.
