Senior Accountant (Health Plan Accounting)

📋 Description

• Prepare and record journal entries in accordance with GAAP and statutory accounting requirements.
• Prepare income statements, balance sheets, consolidated financial statements, and other accounting
• Analyze monthly financial results and accounting records to identify trends, discrepancies, and
• Maintain accurate transactions within financial systems and reconcile balance sheet accounts to
• Reconcile bank account balances to bank statements and ensure the accuracy and integrity of cash
• Prepare quarterly and annual statutory financial statements accurately and within established

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, reconciliations, and journal
• Experience supporting month-end close and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment is
• Healthcare, insurance, managed care, or health plan accounting experience is preferred.
• Experience working with Oracle, Workday, SAP, or similar ERP systems is an advantage.
