Senior Aero Repair Engineer

📋 Description

• Lead development and industrialisation of repair schemes for gas turbine engine components
• Provide expert guidance on repair methodologies, including welding (TIG, laser), brazing, thermal
• Review and approve repair documentation such as work instructions, engineering drawings, and
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing and quality teams to align repair solutions with engine
• Mentor junior engineers and trainees in repair processes, standards and best practices.
• Ensure all repair solutions meet airworthiness standards and are supported by robust justification

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related
• 10+ years’ experience in aerospace gas turbine engine repair, with a focus on civil engines.
• Competent Author (CA) status for repair approvals.
• Strong knowledge of repair methods: welding (TIG, laser), brazing, thermal spray, machining, and
• Familiarity with technical standards: S1000D, STE, EASA Part-145, FAA regulations.
• Experience with engine components: blades, vanes, discs, casings, combustors, and shafts.
