Senior Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• 7+ years experience in data engineering
• Ingest/transform data via REST APIs, AWS S3 and Airflow
• Build dbt models for data transformation using Medallion architecture
• Design dimensional models from scratch with Type 2 SCDs and star schemas
• Maintain data warehouses on SQL Server
• Design and build at least one Snowflake data warehouse from scratch
• Be the Snowflake and dbt expert on the team, guiding best practices
• Make key design decisions for a new multi-dimensional data model
• Make key architectural decisions for a Snowflake-based data warehouse
• Build and maintain pipelines ingesting data from Salesforce and other sources
• Build and maintain dbt models to transform data for BI tools
• Work with BI to monitor and implement warehouse enhancements for reporting
• Opportunity to mentor teammates and collaborate across timezones with strong interpersonal skills

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years experience in data engineering, ideally including cloud migration to Snowflake
• Pipelines ingesting/transforms data from scratch using REST APIs, AWS S3 and Airflow
• Experience designing multi-dimensional data models with star schema and Type 2 SCDs
• Experience building at least one Snowflake data warehouse from scratch
• Strong SQL skills (CTEs and window functions)
• Proficiency in Python for building pipelines with Snowpark
• Experience with dbt for robust ELT processes
