Senior Analytics Engineer

📋 Description

• Own Passage's data platform end to end; keep it trustworthy and extend as the business grows.
• Model the business in dbt on BigQuery with a ~100-model project (staging → intermediate → marts).
• Own executive KPIs, conversion funnels, cohort analytics, and marketing attribution.
• Run pipelines with Airflow 3; ingestion via Debezium + Kafka Connect on GKE; include data-quality
• Serve data via a dbt serving layer with Hasura GraphQL; dashboards with Metabase.
• Turn messy operational reality into trusted tables; model business logic and encode the truth.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years building analytics or data platforms; expert-level SQL.
• Production dbt experience and dimensional modeling (SCD Type 2, grain-based design).
• Experience operating an orchestrator (Airflow) and Python.
• Ability to reverse-engineer production schemas and ship well-documented tables.
• Strong documentation skills; able to own a platform end-to-end without a strict spec.
• Nice-to-have: CDC pipelines (Debezium, Airbyte) or Kafka Connect; Kubernetes/Helm exposure.
