Senior Backend Engineer, Compliance Engineering

📋 Description

• Work on a team building products for regulatory compliance across Reddit platforms
• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to deliver trusted, compliant user experiences
• Own technical design, coding, testing, experimentation, and launches for product areas
• Lead cross-functional initiatives critical to platform integrity
• Improve engineering workflows and mentor engineers

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years backend development across databases to networks, with Go, Python, Postgres, Redis
• Experience deploying with Docker/k8s on AWS
• Tech lead experience on projects/teams with 3+ backend engineers
• Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems under high load
• Self-directed, innovative, and capable of thriving in fast-paced environments
• Excellent communication to collaborate with remote and cross-functional teams
