Senior Backend Engineer - Databases Pyroscope

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end Pyroscope projects from concept to rollout.
• Design, build, and operate core DB components (ingest/storage/query).
• Collaborate with Grafana squads to integrate profiling features.
• Own on-call and incident learning as part of the role (EMEA rotation).
• Contribute to open source and engage with the community.
• Work in a remote-first team with asynchronous collaboration.

🎯 Requirements

• Solid experience with a systems language; Go; other languages (Rust, C, C++, Python).
• Production experience building distributed systems and multi-tenant services.
• Product sense; comfortable talking to customers; no dedicated PM.
• Curiosity and courage to challenge status quo and ask hard questions.
• Strong software craftsmanship; clean, robust, performant code.
• Operational mindset; pager handling, SRE/Infrastructure as code.
