📋 Description

• Create accurate, engaging social media content focused on US politics and news
• Monitor developments, verify information, and deliver timely updates across platforms
• Produce breaking news posts, summaries, and social-first formats for Facebook, X, and more
• Research using primary sources, official statements, public records, interviews, and trusted
• Publish updates as stories evolve and new verified information becomes available
• Coordinate visuals—images, videos, graphics—to support each piece of content

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience producing social media content for news/politics/media brands
• Strong understanding of US politics, elections, government, public policy, and national news
• Proven ability to monitor stories and identify relevant updates and angles
• Excellent news judgment, research, verification, fact-checking, and writing skills
• Experience adapting content for different social platforms and audiences
• Ability to write concise, accurate social copy under tight deadlines
