Senior Counsel, Patent Prosecution

📋 Description

• In-house Senior Counsel for AbbVie's Patent Prosecution group
• Support Aesthetic, Eye Care and other therapeutic areas
• Hybrid work model on-site 3+ days/week in North Chicago, IL; also Waltham, MA; Irvine, CA; South
• Develop and implement IP strategies for products and candidates
• Draft, file, and prosecute patent applications worldwide; manage outside counsel
• Challenge and defend patents in post-grant proceedings; conduct prior art searches

🎯 Requirements

• JD degree; bar admission; USPTO registration
• 5+ years patent law experience in a law firm or life sciences company
• Technical background relevant to medical devices, aesthetic products, pharma; degrees in
• Strong legal, analytical, communication, collaboration, and people skills
• Ability to manage complex projects to meet deadlines
