📋 Description

• Own cross-functional product counseling across the build cycle.
• Translate MiFID/EMIR and derivatives into pragmatic controls.
• Draft and negotiate client terms with clear positions.
• Lead licensing/registration workstreams and regulator interactions.
• Support incident responses with well-reasoned submissions.
• Foster plain-English, risk-based guidance for decisions.

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified lawyer (England & Wales, Irish, or EU equivalent).
• 10+ years PQE in financial services law.
• Experience advising on MiFID investment services; knowledge of MiCA and AMLD5.
• Experience leading licensing/registration efforts (planning, applications, regulator engagement).
• Strong analytical, drafting, and plain-English writing.
• Ability to distill complex issues for non-lawyers and product teams.
