Senior Data Engineer II, Finance

📋 Description

• Own data integration pipelines and models for financial data, enabling reliable, timely reporting.
• Collaborate with finance, accounting, billing, and revenue teams to translate pain points into
• Mentor teammates and drive engineering excellence across the org.
• Own initiatives from design through execution with substantial ownership and autonomy.
• Contribute to the Finance Data Strategy and the platform for Instacart's financial data

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years in Data/Software Engineering focused on building data pipelines (financial data).
• Strong knowledge of cloud data warehouses: Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery.
• Proficient with Python, Airflow, Spark, Iceberg, Delta Lake in production.
• Expert data modeling for complex financial data; SQL and dbt expertise.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines for accounting/billing and data governance concepts.
• Strong cross-functional communication to drive requirements and shared datasets.
