Senior Engineer - Body, Closures & Chassis

📋 Description

• Lead program and technical direction for Body, Closures & Chassis with internal and supplier teams.
• Oversee BOM integrity; drive quality and cost initiatives across the supply chain.
• Develop schedules; coordinate with suppliers, quality, procurement, and manufacturing to close issues.
• Identify program progress and risks; lead strategic mitigation plans.
• Lead root-cause analysis and tracking of build/design issues affecting performance.
• Influence designs to optimize performance, cost, quality via reviews, DFMEA, and validation.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S./M.S. in Mechanical/Automotive engineering or related.
• 12+ years automotive engineering in Body/Closures/Chassis design and PM.
• CATIA V5/V6, PLM/BOM, FMEA/FTA, 8D, Fishbone; PM tools (JIRA/Confluence).
• End-to-end NPI experience; cross-functional leadership with external suppliers.
• Experience designing for crash, NVH, reliability, strength, and corrosion.
• Bonus: familiarity with hardware/firmware development and CAN; willingness to travel.
