Senior Legal Counsel

📋 Description

• Draft, review, and negotiate SaaS contracts and other commercial agreements.
• Support sales on deal structure, negotiations, and customer disputes.
• Advise on risk in APJ contracts (commercial, partner, privacy).
• Own templates and master agreements, and data processing agreements (Japanese forms).
• Partner with Contract Managers and Deal Desk to drive execution and escalation.
• Work with Privacy Legal to align on privacy issues in Japan.

🎯 Requirements

• Japanese-qualified attorney with 5-7 years post-qualification.
• Fluent English with strong written/verbal negotiation skills.
• Proficient negotiating AI, privacy, security, and data protection topics.
• Strategic, hands-on support for Sales deals in APJ.
• Experience negotiating partner contracts with resellers or global SIs.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple deliverables, and meet deadlines.
