Senior Legal Counsel

📋 Description

• Provide practical legal advice in a fast-paced, global environment (Canada, US, UK & more).
• Review and negotiate commercial agreements (MSAs, partnerships, vendor terms, NDAs, BAAs).
• Advise on employment law, privacy regulation, healthcare regulation, litigation risk, and corporate
• Handle law enforcement/regulatory requests and advise on IP protection and brand enforcement.
• Collaborate with product, partnerships, People, Marketing, and Finance teams to build delightful
• Contribute to building and scaling Jane's AI-enabled legal processes and knowledge base.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of practicing law, in-house experience with high-growth tech is ideal.
• Called to the Canadian bar (Ontario or BC preferred); US bar is an asset.
• Expertise in at least 3 of: commercial contracts, privacy, healthcare regulation, litigation risk
• Strong advisory skills, cross-functional collaboration, and ability to simplify complex legal
• Experience with AI/tech in legal work and scalable processes; multi-jurisdictional experience an
• Demonstrates integrity, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
