  • Design, implement and validate actuator- and joint-level controllers for end-effectors in ROS2
  • Develop grasp-level behaviours for various end-effector variants (grippers, vacuum tooling, custom
  • Integrate safety and fault-handling: thermal, over-current, stall/jam, grip-loss safety
  • Collaborate with mechanical/hardware engineers early in design to influence actuation choices
  • Hands-on bring-up and testing with real hardware and test stands
  • Work across transmission mechanisms including geared, cable/tendon, differential and underactuated

๐ŸŽฏ Requirements

  • Shipped real-time-safe, object-oriented C++ control software on real hardware
  • Experience tuning controllers on physical actuators and sensor calibration
  • Modeling and control of transmissions: geared, cables/tendons, differentials, coupled/linkages, or
  • Experience with end-effectors or multi-DoF mechanisms, grasp control and sensing
  • Debugging at fieldbus/OS layer (EtherCAT or CAN) on RTOS or real-time Linux
  • Strong control theory foundation: observers, state estimation, feedback/feedforward, frequency
