Senior Machinist

📋 Description

• Program and operate CNC mills and lathes for flight components
• Participate in testing and tooling design reviews; flag manufacturability and tolerance issues early
• Develop fixturing, tooling, and processes to improve tooling efficiency
• Own first-article and in-process QC; ensure traceability
• Document via MES; write non-conformance tickets
• Train shop team and engineers on tooling and component-specific machining processes

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years machining for aerospace, medical, or high-precision industries
• Programming 3- and 5-axis CNC mills; CAM (Fusion 360, MasterCAM, or similar)
• Haas controller experience & Fanuc
• Strong metrology fundamentals; comfortable with inspection tools
• Experience with brittle materials (graphite, composites, ceramics)
• U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or ITAR-compliant; able to obtain security clearance if needed
