Senior Manager, Platform Security

📋 Description

• Lead Gemini's Platform Security team; code with engineers (Terraform, CI/CD)
• Align team strategy with business needs, internal partners, and security leadership
• Hire, mentor, and review designs/PRs; stay current with codebase
• Establish a Platform Security roadmap; increase maturity; reduce toil via automation
• Serve as senior escalation point; contribute code/IaC when needed
• Build trust with partner teams; ensure security outcomes and voice heard

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years leadership in cloud-native engineering/security teams; AWS-based preferred
• 10+ years direct technical exp in Platform Eng or Security; recent hands-on coding/IaC
• AWS, EKS, IAM, Terraform, and GitHub Enterprise Cloud expertise
• Experience leveraging industry security frameworks and standards
• Comfortable hiring and scaling a team and leading organizational change
• Strong written and verbal communication; translate feedback into outcomes
