Senior Materials Engineer (Metals, Forming & Castings)

📋 Description

• Lead end-to-end failure analyses for metallic components from development to service
• Act as SME on metals, forming, stamping, and casting processes
• Write and maintain material and process specs for metal forming, stamping, and casting
• Perform mechanical testing and correlate with metallurgical findings to root cause
• Investigate corrosion, fatigue, cracking, embrittlement, porosity, and weld failures
• Drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams and close loop on field issues

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years in materials engineering, failure analysis, or metallurgical work
• Deep expertise with metals in forming/stamping and casting, and failure modes
• Experience writing material/process specs for metal forming or casting
• Strong mechanical testing (Instron/UTM) and failure analysis techniques
• Proven track record leading root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams
