Senior Mechanical / Cryogenic Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the mechanical design of cryogenic hardware from 300 K to millikelvin
• Lead full design lifecycle: concept, CAD, drawings, BOMs, testing
• Define interfaces and budgets; drive DFM with external vendors
• Perform mechanical, thermal, and vibration analyses; use results to iterate
• Lead prototype builds and cryogenic bring-up
• Mentor junior engineers and chair design reviews

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred)
• 7+ years in complex mechanical/electromechanical design
• Expert-level SolidWorks with GD&T and DFM
• Proficient in SolidWorks, COMSOL or ANSYS for thermal/structural analysis
• Experience with cryogenic, vacuum or extreme thermal environments
• Strong fundamentals in stress, tolerances, materials, FMEA
