Senior Mechanical Engineer - Wire Harness Design

📋 Description

• Design interfacing cabling and wiring harnesses with mechanical engineers and electrical engineers.
• Author and release harness design docs: drawings, schematics, routing diagrams.
• Perform electrical analysis: wire sizing, voltage drop, shield grounding, derating.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to define requirements.
• Design for manufacturability, reliability, serviceability, and cost.
• Develop and test prototypes; support production transfer and issue resolution.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering (or similar).
• 5+ years in mechanical/machine design in regulated industries (medical device, aerospace, etc.).
• Strong understanding of design controls: inputs/outputs, risks, verification, change control.
• Proficiency with CAD, analysis, and finite element tools for mechanical assemblies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; self-driven in a high-energy environment.
• Preferred: 2+ years in electrical harness design for robotics/medical/defense; IEC 60601
