Senior Migration Engineer - GitLab Dedicated

📋 Description

• Lead migrations from self-managed GitLab to GitLab Dedicated using GitLab Geo
• Design runbooks and automation for repeatable cutovers with Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes
• Deliver customer migrations from assessment through planning, replication, cutover, and
• Use GitLab Geo to replicate data, debug synchronization issues, and keep migrations on track
• Design network connectivity within GitLab Dedicated constraints (VNets, VPNs, DNS, firewall rules)
• Improve tooling, scripts, and runbooks for reliable, repeatable delivery

🎯 Requirements

• Experience delivering customer-facing migration, installation, training, or advisory engagements
• Hand-on GitLab usage with solid Git and source-control workflows
• Experience with infrastructure as code/configuration as code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Packer
• Hands-on Kubernetes production experience (deployments, rollouts, debugging)
• Experience with one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and network design knowledge
• Ability to read/modify infrastructure tooling; languages: Go, Python, or Ruby
