Senior Mobile Engineer

📋 Description

• Own the design, development, and release of Canary’s mobile apps (staff/guest)
• Ship high-quality UI and flows on iOS/Android with reliability and performance
• Partner with Product and Design to scope, sequence, deliver customer-impacting work
• Collaborate with Backend/Platform on mobile-server contracts, error handling, observability
• Establish and improve release processes, feature flags, and crash monitoring
• Improve code quality via testing, automation, and thoughtful architecture
• Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers
• Drive operational excellence: monitoring, logging, crash analytics, on-call readiness

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years building production mobile apps on iOS/Android; Swift or Kotlin expert
• Proven experience shipping features from spec to customer-facing app
• Strong mobile fundamentals: networking, concurrency, persistence, security, performance
• Comfortable with SwiftUI/UIKit or Jetpack Compose/Views; modern architecture
• Experience with mobile CI/CD, distribution, and crash analytics (Xcode Cloud, Gradle, Firebase)
• Quality mindset: unit/UI testing, automation, observability
• Excellent written and verbal communication; autonomous with Product and Design
• Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and ships business impact
