Senior Payroll Specialist (Portugal)

📋 Description

• Run payroll end-to-end for Portugal, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timeliness.
• Own Portuguese payroll master data: hires, terminations, salary changes, benefits, absences
• Conduct payroll validations pre- and post-payroll; investigate discrepancies and implement fixes.
• Handle statutory filings and government accesses (IRS, Segurança Social, Modelo 10, subsídio de
• Configure and maintain in-house payroll system; test updates before going live and collaborate on
• Provide SME guidance on tax, social security, and labor law interpretations.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years running native payroll for Portugal, high-volume payslips per month.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Cegid (Primavera/PHC) and/or Sendys.
• Accounting/payroll qualification and/or dedicated payroll certification.
• Deep knowledge of Portuguese wage tax, social security, and labor law; able to advise stakeholders.
