Senior Platform Software Engineer - Platform Architect

📋 Description

• Architect and implement OpenBMC-based solutions for platforms where BMC manages host-system
• Define end-to-end switch-management architecture spanning OpenBMC D-Bus services, bmcweb/Redfish
• Develop object models and services for switch inventory, ASICs, ports, PHYs, VLANs, LAGs, FDB
• Implement Layer 2 networking capabilities: port admin, speed, FEC, VLANs, MAC learning, FDB, LACP
• Build backend abstractions to integrate with Linux switchdev, SAI/SONiC/SWSS-style components
• Collaborate with hardware, ASIC, security, firmware, QA, manufacturing, and cloud networking teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/EE or related field, with 12+ years of experience.
• Hands-on OpenBMC firmware development for x86/ARM servers; Yocto, systemd, D-Bus, phosphor, bmcweb
• Strong understanding of Ethernet switch architecture and Layer 2 tech: VLANs, trunks, LAG/LACP
• Experience with system-management tech (IPMI, KCS, Redfish, PLDM, MCTP, SPDM), secure firmware
• Strong programming in C/C++, C++, Python; familiarity with Bash, Go, or Rust; ability to build
• Experience translating architectural requirements into scalable implementations; excellent
