Senior Process Engineer - Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD)

📋 Description

• Own the process health and performance of production PVD modules via SPC, monitoring, and data
• Develop, optimize, and qualify thin-film deposition for superconducting resonators and related
• Analyze process, metrology, and electrical data to improve reproducibility and device performance.
• Lead root-cause investigations; implement corrective/preventive actions for
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with facilities and equipment engineering; support process
• Document development activities; write SOPs and train technicians on new processes.

🎯 Requirements

• Master's with 4–6 years or PhD with 2+ years in Materials Science, Physics, Applied Physics
• Hands-on experience with PVD equipment (sputtering, e-beam, or thermal evaporation) on 4" or 6"
• Strong knowledge of vacuum systems and thin-film deposition; ability to diagnose drift.
• Understanding of semiconductor fabrication and superconducting/semiconductor device physics.
• Experience with DOE, engineering data analysis; ability to use data to guide decisions.
• Strong written/verbal communication; capable of cross-functional collaboration and autonomous work
