Senior Product Counsel - Data Products, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence

📋 Description

• Role: Senior Product Counsel for data products, ML & AI – cross-functional with product teams
• Advise on legal issues across model development, agentic workflows, multimodal outputs, and
• Design practical mitigations for AI-specific legal risks: IP, data provenance, training rights
• Develop flexible legal processes and contract language for frontier AI development.
• Represent internal AI positions with external counsel, regulators, and industry groups as needed.
• Support privacy impact assessments, model risk assessments, and data governance for AI

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years legal experience; 4+ years counseling on AI, ML, or emerging tech products; in-house
• Ability to translate complex regulatory/technical AI concepts for non-legal audiences.
• Strong ownership, curiosity about technology, and sound judgment in ambiguous situations.
• Comfort operating with tight timelines and novel legal questions with no settled precedent.
• Knowledge of IP/copyright in AI-generated content, training data rights, and model liability.
