Senior Product Manager (VCS Ecosystem)

📋 Description

• Set long-term strategy for VCS and code-change workflows across all JetBrains IDEs.
• Identify gaps in developer workflows and define new VCS directions.
• Explore cross-IDE VCS clients, host-neutral reviews, and AI-native tracking.
• Listen to the community and industry to decide what we should work on.
• Align roadmaps across product, engineering, design, marketing, and partnerships.
• Work with engineering and quality leads to balance value and constraints.
• Shape external positioning and present VCS direction to customers.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep understanding of version control mechanics and code-change workflows.
• Proven track record leading product direction for SCM/CI/CD or code collaboration.
• Translate complex developer workflows into clear roadmaps.
• Experience aligning stakeholders across product, engineering, marketing, and developer advocacy.
• Based in the EU (EU remote acceptable) with travel to JetBrains offices.
• Familiar with advanced VCS scenarios (complex merges, monorepos, self-hosted setups).
