Senior Public Policy and Government Affairs Manager

📋 Description

• Represent Samsara before Congress and with federal/state agencies on public policy and funding
• Develop and drive campaigns to enable cities, states, and the federal government to adopt Samsara
• Collaborate with Public Sector Sales, Legal, Marketing, and Product to align policy work with
• Stay ahead of developments across Congress and agencies to shape Samsara’s policy strategy.
• Lead and manage outside consultants and translate intelligence into pipeline input and go-to-market
• Draft legislative language, funding tasks, letters, and testimony in support of policy priorities.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 8+ years in public policy, government affairs, or government, with strong appropriations experience
• In-house government affairs experience coordinating with sales/go-to-market teams.
• Deep understanding of federal appropriations and budget processes and ability to translate into
• Proven track record of proactively generating opportunities and building relationships with
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with ability to summarize policy for diverse audiences.
