Senior Python Engineer

📋 Description

• Own backend services from design through deployment and maintenance
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python/Django backend services
• Architect distributed systems for millions of users, low latency, high availability
• Collaborate across product, frontend, and DevOps to ship features quickly
• Lead and mentor junior engineers via code reviews and architecture discussions
• Own APIs, data pipelines, Kafka, and caching infrastructure
• Optimize throughput, latency, fault tolerance, and resilience
• Implement unit, integration, and performance tests
• Improve development processes and system observability (monitoring/logging)
• Participate in on-call rotations and support production issues

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years Python backend development with ownership and delivery track record
• Django experience with asyncio
• Production experience with Apache Kafka
• Distributed systems (microservices)
• Docker; Kubernetes experience is a plus
• PostgreSQL; NoSQL is a plus
