Senior Python Engineer (Contract)

📋 Description

• Take ownership of backend services from design to deployment
• Build scalable Python/Django backends with distributed design
• Architect systems for millions of users with low latency
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps to ship features quickly
• Mentor junior engineers via code reviews and architecture talks
• Own APIs, data pipelines, Kafka, and caching for resilience

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years Python backend development with ownership
• Django experience with asyncio
• Production experience with Apache Kafka
• Distributed systems experience (microservices)
• Docker; Kubernetes experience a plus
• PostgreSQL; NoSQL is a plus
