Senior QA Automation Engineer

📋 Description

• Own end-to-end quality for critical payment journeys and transactions.
• Design and execute API-first test strategies for REST/JSON and complex lifecycles.
• Build and maintain automated API and selective UI tests with Playwright, RestAssured, or similar.
• Develop reusable automation components (API clients, test data builders, utilities).
• Test integrations with external providers (payment processors, Open Banking) with async flows
• Investigate production incidents, reproduce defects, and contribute to root-cause analysis.

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in QA engineering or related software quality role with ownership of complex
• Hands-on testing of REST APIs (HTTP, JSON, request/response validation, API-driven workflows).
• Strong understanding of backend systems, distributed services, and integration patterns.
• Practical experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, RestAssured, or similar.
• Ability to diagnose issues using logs, databases, API traces, and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of asynchronous systems, callbacks, queues, polling, retries, and failure handling.
